I hear of fellas puttin bigger springs on coon traps than the stock springs just wondering if you have to laminate to make up for the increased presure. Mainly thinking of the 1.5 cs, 1.65 and the 2 bridger. Rk660 I would really like to hear your view on this one. RR

I do think to prebait coon 4-5 Days early (i wouldnt go any earlier for reasons Steve mentioned) have your traps in place is worthwhile. It makes it faster getting set up if nothing else, but those fresh muddy coon tracks get me goin when settin in. Also if your gonna put out rat floats I consider it to be an advantage to get them out there as it is work an they take up space it sure dont hurt to bait them as your placin them either. RR

Ok but I and several other people I know just lay them out somewhere in the sun and they dull just fine. I sometimes dye them for people reasons only, sometimes I dont have time. I also have a hard time believeing that soaking snares in water will make them fire any faster, I belive that has more to do with the snare itself and how it is made. RR

Bob I hate to bust your bubble but very few trappers run brand new 40 G trucks most trappers I know (i do know ALOT of trappers) run rigs costing less than 5 G the rat market goin up is a good thing, and Very few trappers rely soley on fur to pay their bills . The fur boom is over and has been for a very long time. I hope it never comes back. I like it the way it is. And could do with out all the johhny come lattly $$ trappers that go along with big $$ signs.
