I notice that the snare shop sells black cam locks. Are they the exact same thing as the non blackend cam locks? If they perform the same I am going to purchase some for next season.

Ive had problems with the black ones rusting and dragging too much for my liking, I just spray paint the zinc plated ones and they seem to last longer.

Found out snare shop can't get the black ones anymore anyway. I'll do the spray paint treatment this year.

Ok but I and several other people I know just lay them out somewhere in the sun and they dull just fine. I sometimes dye them for people reasons only, sometimes I dont have time. I also have a hard time believeing that soaking snares in water will make them fire any faster, I belive that has more to do with the snare itself and how it is made. RR
