I do remember some coon in the summer that I got with my terriers with big lumps on them. But then they are so full of ticks I didn't mess with them much.I suppose going into a den they my terriers could of got them too.I wish I never tossed the coons with the spots. I rolled the one on it's side and tucked some coon close. The fur buyer just gave me a head count. He went right through 12 bucks.

It's not in the neck or above the tail.It is right in the middle of the back .And in the center there is a hole like a bite mark or a abcess burst. Then no hair around the area.

Has anyone had any coon with a big tennis size sore or rub in the center of the back?I conibeared 74 coon this week and 10 all big boar coon had exact same mark on back.It first looked like a bite mark but when more showed up it has to be something different. Not all coon where in the same area.

I have 2 doz. of the bridger's.They seem to work fine. They have strong springs and seem to be put together well.

If the 1.5 is like the 1'65 they will never fine a home on my line. The 1.65 is a very poor trap with weak springs from one year of use.I sold all of them.

I have about a hundred 4 long springs that I used for coyotes.I am thinking of dragging them out for for beaver trapping. The coyote are all manged out here. When the 4 longspring snap they hold for keeps.Got them when Luddy Cheda was out of money and traded fur for trap. All are Blake and Lamb 4's now it is a good deal back then the money was better deal.

Ron Hansen was a 4 long spring man.He showed me old super 8 film he made long before the video craze. He was always way ahead of things.

Hey BuckFreak I am getting the same. The creeks are foot of water and 2 ft of muck on a flat bank.Take a weed or a stick wrap some of that conary grass on put your bait on it and trap between the bank and trap.Works for coon and mink.

Bait is cheap I use ground bait and throw enough in for everything that wants to eat it.Very few time the mice eat it all.I once caught a mouse and a small owl in the same 220.Should of took a pic. of it but was in a hurry.

I got to trap with a well known trapper. And he just cut the slightly tainted meat off the ribs off the bones. And he was putting the hammer on the Red's with a little lure also.

I know Ron Hansen told me how him and CraigOGorman put no. 2 coils springs in the 1 1/2 coil spring trap in the 60's.Besides the disposable stake and skinning machines. Also him and Harold Clark bought a bunch of wire and started making hoops to put beaver on.

They are about the same. There is very few new things in trapping world. All I know that they really work great and when you have limited trail to work with most of the time you can rest the same trail.Plus it is hard to see a dead coyote or cat KOed in the grass.

Yea that is the web site.I lost the info he gave me.He sure catches alot of coyotes and cats. And with that set up he said the chew outs are hardly any.I think his trapping partner is a go-getter like him.

I see the thread is gone also. They are cheaper than a stinger and boy do they KO the coyotes and cats on a 1/16 10 ft snare. You can reset almost all locations back again.I got mine from PC Trapping Supplies.Cheaper reusable and reliable can't go wrong .

In Iowa with a deer stop the coon are hard to kill unless hung with feet up off ground. With a deer stop and kill pole lots of snare damage.
