primitiveman, your post was edited, because I'm tired of little jabs that now seem to be your forte when you are asked about your "system" to target only "dominate " coyotes. Take that as you WILL be learning things on your own, if it continues. First, last, final warning. So either stop the nonsense, or don't post.
you can have blind theorys, and thats good in many ways, but when your theories fly in the face of all that is accepted, you are either a genius, or simply inexperienced.
if you are a genius, then its only fair to ask what points you TO those behaviors? I could care less about your mechanicals, including lure, only your theory regarding behaviors. And in asking that, the answer either has to come from hundreds and hundreds of coyotes, or from research.
If from research- what studies?
and if from hundreds and hundreds of coyotes- lets see some catch pictures.

Your forum...your rules...I can respect that.
My apologies if I offended anyone...just stating my opinions and defending myself when feeling verbally attacked (or in this case written). Looking at it from your perspective, I don't blame anyone for not buyin what I'm sellin, and I'm ok with that. No my theories don't come from modern day studies or from catching hundreds upon hundreds of coyotes. I base my stuff on what I have personally done and from readings primarily prior to 1960...other than the studies I have come across as a result of the posts here. Thus TMan you are right....I'm either a genius or just that ignorant as to what I should be doing (please hold the comments)
In the end, I don't figure you will ever see the logic in what I say simply because we have completely different philosophies about and reasons for trapping coyotes. Many of the frequent posters are long liners who are trying to perfect a system that can be duplicated over and over covering many miles and animals. I guess "system" isn't the word I would refer to with my trapping simply because I treat each location as a separate puzzle to figure out. You guys don't have the time to waste doing that...I get that.
As I've said throughout my posts....I KNOW I don't have it figured out yet but the evidence I have seen and the text I have read supports where I am heading, which isn't the mainstream way of thinking. Thanks to the few who have PM'd me with support...for the rest, all I can say is stay tuned to see if I end up the genius or the idiot....
Good luck to all of you

you should reread Tcs post, and Chrisms comment- that from 2 men that trapped coyotes 365
unless you are ADC trapping, meaning in spring and early summer, coyotes simply do not react as you suggest they do. Thats from every study out there, that deals with the subject.
the studies I refer to have been posted here many times- I'm simply asking WHAT text you are referring to, that talks about subordinate's reactions to dominate coyote smells and behaviors, etc?
I've gotten a lot of pms too......
