Anybody run them last year? I got one this week to look at and like the look of it. Seems to be alot of hate on the internet for them. The price is right.
Tell me why I shouldn't buy a dozen of them.

I like mine. They are heavier than many of the others, but the coon you catch are heavier than any trap. Set them at a 45 degree angle with the "trigger pin" down to prevent critters from dry firing them. Clint told me they had footage of a possum rubbing on the pin and firing the trap.

Sold mine ONLY becuz they take up more space than a duke and I can carry more in my hand due to weight and space , killed plenty of coon with them.

They a great DP for the $....saves time with the clean out/baiting area and has a bigger (inviting) opening for those big boar coon. ran them exclusive on river lines last winter and will do again
Bob, why not legal in PA?

The new Pa regs limit the mouth opening on all DP traps to be no greater then 2" across.

I got some of them and they look like a really nice trap.I was looking through different state realations and it looks like ther only noy legal where it says a pull trigger only.legal in ks 100%.. I wood think that wood be true of any dp trap not a concern here.

I thought Clint stated on his site that they are legal in PA. I believe the conservation was how they were being measured. Maybe diagonally or something. I could be wrong on this though.

use a liquid bait- then it doesn't matter if its cleaned out.

Cleaned out Is cleaned out and when It's cleaned out your not going to catch any coon.
I'll make this statement again. If the coon can't see anything and It can't feel anything then It's not sticking It's paw back In for a second try. And If It don't taste good It sure won't make a second attempt.
And NO matter what type of trap you use or what kind of trigger system Is on that trap your still going to get traps that are cleaned out. It's just the way It Is.

you can say it as many times as you wish to say it- but its simply not true.
and even if a mouse cleans out a liquid bait, still plenty of smell left
did you read Seldoms post on the other thread? seems first hand observation shows you that while some lures might taste bitter to you or a dog- seems like with COON, thats not the case.
you keep thinking a liquid lure doesn't work as well as a solid bait, packed to the brim as you once said.
I'll just keep catching coon the 'wrong way"

Funny how game cams or videos prove that statement wrong beav
I just caught a coon today in a duke dp I set 3 weeks ago in my back yard the coons were killing chickens and I thought I was done but left one set cuz I been to busy/lazy to pull it. There was NO bait in the trap only liquid lure. Coons got a better nose than most would ever imagine. Its tough to know this with out actually watching live coon or video of them on particular scents or baits.
