I would like to try the sled dog thing someday just to see what it is like . Lot slower pace than a snowmobile can enjoy the scenery. Jason

I use the heated bucket and love it better than the dog going without water all day when you are at work

I think you should be able to snare the right a way because most people that are driving around will not see a coon hanging from a fence they just do not pay that much attention an if they are they are someone looking for a critter.

I use cedar chips like said hard to come by they make the dog smell good for the trip hunting and keep them warm hold up good. But even in the summer I keep some in the house I was told they help keep the tics off I don't know if this is true but thats what I do.

thank you for the info it was good reading I don't think we have a whole lot of calling around here but people just driving around and see one and shoot. That hurts me on the calling end also. But last night we were out just at dark and I had one come into the howel but he hung up at about 350yrds and my gun is not proven out that far yet.So I am not just going to shoot and take the chance of not making a good shot I want to make it count.Next month I am going to Texas and from what I hear they come to calls good cant wait. Thanks for the info.

the big problem for me is the setup parking the truck. In our area we have big ravines and hills that flatten out on the top to a crp, corn, and bean Fields do you set up at the top and call into the woods or set off the woods 200yards or so.But I seem to think that every setup that they are watching me walk in thats why I have come to here to ask some questions.

I know we have touched on this before but I am still new to the game .In our area of MN I am having trouble finding places to setup or how to sneak into an area. Most of you know the lay of the land here in southeast MN from Steve's pics so if anyone has any ideas lets hear them. Thanks Jason
