Yes my faith has been tested many times with the death of a loved one, a susicide in my family, a brother that took a wrong turn in life and fighting to get it back on a right path today, a divorce and other issues, yes my faith has been tested many times in my life tested and still going strong I might add.
Sorry for your child having MD, but does that preclude one from having faith? I have had people in my life die of cancer and other aliments, my cousins boy died at 12 while playing soccer his heart gave out, yet faith is a help for many at these trying times not a hinderance. My god never stated we are guranteed X amount of time, but to make the most of the time we have on this earth. To feel and believe that the after life is far more lasting than the blink of time we have on this earth, one can believe in such, have faith in such, take comfort in such or believe the exact opposite view, I lean toward the view of a god that loves and cares for us and that when we are called we can answer knowing we did our very best on this planet and more await's us elsewhere.

Been down the road of blaming God, depending on God, rejecting to believing.
Its a never ending sequence.
Overall, I feel the world is better for believing in something higher than the human race. A John Lennon world would soon fall into chaos.

Question for you hard core believers.
Would Jesus allow health care to be so expensive and would he allow people to profit obscenely off of it?
Would Jesus allow such inequality in wealth?

I have often thought that faith is only really useful to somehow make people feel better during troubling times, because they have no explaination for circumstances otherwise.
To believe in the Bible means you believe the 'if then'statements just two of which are found in Psalm 91 and also in James 5-20.
These obviously don't pan out as the text infer
To believe what the Bible says means that you believe that Jon Huntsman, while probably spending more of his own money on cancer research than anyone alive is going to Hell becasue he's a Morman. It clearly states that all your goods deads don't mean shinola if your not a believer. I'm sorry it's hard for me to follow a God like that.
If you believe the Bible then you believe that the creator of every drop of rain, every strand of DNA, and the One who made man out of dust just by speaking it so, was also respnsible for His plan that went like this.
I'm gonna create two people in a garden, there will be no sin and all mankind after them will live forever. We'll that lasted all of about a blink of an eye and the Creator had to go to plan B. How did he not see that one coming. SHHHHZZZZZ
My burden is lite and My yolk is easy. REALLY... Many people have handicapped children. Is it easier for them to believe that disease is random or that the omnipresent, all powerful Creator allowed this to afflict their child and without a miracle there maybe no healing. That is the omnipresent reality.
TC I get what your saying.
Minkman you summed it up pretty well
Steven....do you think he'd of let Hitler be born....I guess so.

Let us not forget that the Earth is only 6-9000 years old, the fossil record is crap made up by insane scientists and evolution is just a theory. Yeah, OK.

Steven....do you think he'd of let Hitler be born....I guess so.
What kind of question is that?
If he was walking the earth and people actually followed the word the answer is a given.
Now back to what I asked.
The chirping of the crickets is deafening.
How about divorce?

The lord makes no gurantees about this life, if this life was like heaven what would be the point? Hitler and others are hear to remind us all that evil exists and we can choose to be a part of that evil or not.
Jesus isn't about making everyone equal on this earth, he said if riches increase do not set your heart on them, meaning live like your not rich and do what you can to help others with that blessing, don't become dependant on earthly possesions and the money. Some people do live that way with alot of money! I knew of 2 millionaires growing up that you would never guessed by what they drove, wore or ate that they had millions of dollars, I liken that to the point he was making.
Divorce yep a sin, no doubt about it, but in the the catholic church you go through a process called a Decree of Invalidity, been there and done it. It is a lengthy process no doubt, but once done it allows you to have a wedding in the eye's of the catholic faith and church.
I had to do it and so did my wife. When all said and done and it takes awhile for the tribunal to reach a statis, we where then married like any other catholics.

Not sure what you mean by hardcore believer, I just believe, not a little and not a lot. I believe it just is. As far as healthcare, Jesus would probably be disgusted and saddened by the coruption. But, I also believe He would probably be upset by those who took life not so seriously. As far as wealth, you seem to think that God/Jesus would wave a magic wand and make everything just and righteous. That isn't how it works, God only intervenes when He sees fit. And who can say what the amount of wealth any person should have is. Divorce is forgivable, as is every single sin on this earth. Nothing is bigger than the crucifiction of Jesus. But only God knows what is in a persons heart.
