works on the same principal as acetone , paint thinner. it litterally curdles the lung tissuer and the skunk suffocates. the more in , volume wise, the quicker he suffocates. trashes his lungs, like putting a blow torch to lung tissue, same result. croak-a-dokee.

Bob my wife's boss was disposing of the carcasses of euthanized dogs and cats in a common dump on his farm. He had negelected to cover the bodies and his Boxers got into them and consumed some. They had to be brought in and stomach pumped by my wife.LOL
We had a Vet here that gave himself the blue juice treatment. Too bad as he was a nice guy, guess he had some hidden issues.

the problem with the "proffessionals" is there place in the moronic curve. The moronic curve is where IQs are placed, it is a circle or clock with 12:01 a complete idiot and 11:59 an Einstein......Einstein supposidly whore the same suites everyday cause he could figure out what to wear otherwise.
Bob do you favor Obama or Hillery, whaaaaaa

Good luck getting narcotics to dispatch skunks.LOL. The vets here won't even sell us rabies vaccine anymore.
All the farmers used to vaccinate their own dogs, just buy the vaccine from the vet and go home and vaccinate the dog.No big deal.
Now the vet must do it.Just a big moneygrab. They charge for an examination fee on top of it.
That is if we bring them in to get vaccinated. Not mine.Lots of the neighbours refuse to fall for that too.

I cited on here my problem with the last 20 years or so of vet school graduates, just not up to snuff as no demand and not even enough applicants to fill the openings. = desperation, rip offs and dumber vets. ma and pa can`t brag anymore that son or daughter got accepted to vet school, heck they have to advertise to get the spots filled now and accept anyone that hasn`t flunked out already. then guess what the public gets for vets. ? not to mention the vet schools now teach courses in animal rights and the avma has adopted a platform of wanting trapping made illegal. that is such a frigging joke as they sure don`t teach wildlife managment in vet school. the recent grads achilles heal is there a few of us 50-60ish vets left that have their number and not afraid to tell it, like right here. mostly women now, the classes run 80% or more female. problem with that? you betcha if not farm girls, and they aren`t.

Just a follow up with Bob's take on new vets. Bought the wife and daughter a Min Schnauzer......I know I know not the manly trapping, hunting dog........LOL
The lady we bought our pup from told us her vet informed her this would be the last time he was cropping ears, I asked what about dew claws and tails............she said she was in such huh... that she didn't ask..............talk about changing the standards in the AKC, UKC, FDSB........she simply concluded, time for a new vet!

not just dog ears and tail docking, tenn. walking horses are about done too, lol, too cruel to the horses. vets have been cut out of farm animal production almost 100% as they think it is "cruel". the running pen debacles of late are just more anti pressure, and a lady vet here in indiana is leading the charge against dog use to take any form of wildlife, like not just chasing coyotes, but coondogs, bird dogs etc. our head enforcment guy here is a big bird dog man. I`m going to laugh when his turn comes to get rid of all his bird dogs and quit maiming quail. recently our dnr has become anti infiltrated and some of the head guys quote anti rhetoric freely to the press. what goes around definitly comes around.

We have a vet down here who was leading the charge to de-emphasise the teaching of evolution in our public schools. A fifty something dude too.

sad state of affairs for sure and an embarassment to have a dvm degree. we fought so hard to be "real drs." and now gone backwards for the last generation. and it`s not over yet either.

human circumsision? cleanliness and lower cervical cancer rate for your partner too. similar legitimate reasons for ear jobs.

no- do not believe in circumcism either- as in dog ears- keep everything clean and its all good....
cropping isn't for any reason, but the show ring.
hounds have the longest ears of any dog- and once monthly cleaning, if that- ensures zero problerms.

Sounds like we're 'getting it in the ear' every time we turn around. As far as circumcision goes, I have to agree with Bob.Try explaining to a little boy about cleanliness when he has to get a circumcision when he is older and in much agony. What's the big deal.I certainly don't remember my infant circumcision. It didn't traumatize me.So what if there are a few less nerve endings down there?Everything still works and feels good enough down there.LOL. No tail docking, dewclaws, earcropping? What's next? No castration, dehorning, branding on the farm? That b.s. is coming too.Or the vet has to do it like in Europe.Another moneygrab. Maybe the antis should come out to my place and do all the work according to their arfing stupid criteria.I can just sit on my ars and bit#$ while they make everything pc. I'm way too young to be a grumpy old man.LOL. It certainly looks like we have a lot of reasons for civil disobedience on the horizon.

do you let a little boy change his own diapers? Or take his own bath?
for heavens sakes- teach him.
brothers- those of us that HAVE those "few" nerve endings- really are glad our parents choose as they did.

Geez, guys. You want more nerve endings not less. It's supposed to feel good, not nothing.
There's also the common sense part about not leaving anyone play with sharp instruments around your privates.
Bottom line is that the guys that have a covered wagon can desensitize themselves if they want with a tube from the drugstore. Those that have a permanent turtle neck are stuck with it.
Regarding vets I've met a couple of "winners." Both were women. Both were cash grabbers. Both lost my business. And I'm a good client!
However all the other vets, male and female, were excellent. They are not all old either. I find that the best vets seem to be those that do large animals as well as small. Their knowledge base seems much firmer.

My wife is a VET and very pretty. She didn't grow up on a farm but understands the economics of rural living.... And she went to an Ivy League school. LOL
Do not go lumping vets all together. I have meet some boners as well, but there are boners in everything.
As far as ear cropping and dehorning.......well I am not an anteater.LOL
