Enough said, what does he know about oppression. He wants attention because he knows his days in the NFL are about done. Richard Sherman had a great rebuttal along with many others.
He has been editing the pine too long in the most Liberial city in the US.

I can't say as I agree with what he did, but last I heard it's a free country and people can protest in any way they want as long as someone isn't physically injured by it. I don't agree with people that burn flags or wear them on their heads, or butts either, but as long as there is no law against it, they're free to do it.
Cheers, Pam

a white person, asking one of color what he knows about oppression?
wow
its a free country for some, only if you agree with their views.
my version of free is if what you say and do doesn't hurt others- then its YOUR life
as Patrick Henry once said- "I may not agree with what you say, but I'll fight to the death to support it"

Tman I knew what way you would go LOL. A guy making millions of dollars knows as much about oppression as I do, also knowing the fact he was fined for calling others in football the N word LMAO. He is attention starved and we all know anything to do with the color community is a hot topic again now. Good responses from many people of color that have been around to see real oppression back in their day.
He is a washed up QB that is pissed his time in the lime light and bicep kissing is about over.
The NFL better be real careful, they will loose sponsorships and fans. Look at the Unof amissouri debacle last year, attendance is down by a good margin and season tickets for football way,way off. Another joke that was as well under the terms of FAUX oppression. Keep crying wolf and some pint the deaf ears will fall, just like all the murders in Chicago from colored on colored crime, CK should be talking that instead of his "oppression" as a rich NFL player.
We elected a colored president to 2 terms yet racisim abounds in the USA ok.

Sure Pam he is free to do it, our brave men and woman fought to keep it that way, and all those against war well guess what? Without those people fighting and dying for those rights we would not be free today. So sorry pick other means than what he did and this story is not a story , he knew this would bring him back to the lime light which many athletes are attention starved after people decide to look past them as a bench rider.

you knew the way I would go?
defending the Constitution?
oh yes- I forgot- it only applies to white folk- and not all white folk- just those that agree with your views.
We elected a colored president to 2 terms yet racisim abounds in the USA ok.
you truly leave me speechless. you ARE like Trump, says things, but doesn't listen to what he says.

The Star-Spangled Banner
O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light, What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there, O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam, In full glory reflected now shines in the stream, ’Tis the star-spangled banner - O long may it wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore, That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion A home and a Country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash’d out their foul footstep’s pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave, And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand Between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation! Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land Praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto - “In God is our trust,” And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

He has the right to do as he wishes, but he is still a misinformed whine butt as he knows his time in the lime light is about over and he has no real oppression in his life. He his too young and lives in the freeest nation on earth, it got that way by those who fought and served to protect his rights and that of everyone else. Not standing is just a cheap ploy at getting attention. He needs to read the FBI data on homicides he should be sitting down in a chair in cities like KC and Chicago trying to stop colored people killing other colored people which makes up 100 times plus the amount of homiceds in the US versus a whirred cop shooting a man or woman of color.
What about Dwaine wades cousin who was killed from colored on colored crime? Where is the BLM and CK over that? Doesn not make daily news no shock and awe. I get it, I really do.

Gosh, he ain't even areal person; he's a gimmick to sell tickets. It just don't matter what he does or doesn't do. Who ever even heard of the guy before? Some said his parents are both white, so, maybe he does know something about white/black oppression.

yes, most black folks have white parents
more and more football players are doing the same, and more and more veterans support it.

No I have not, how about you?
Does not mean I do not support our troops and those providing the freedoms we enjoy for how many years? I would love a poll on what are troops think of CK's actions overall, since they are the one risking their lives for our freedoms doing so with free will.
Trust me CK is loosing more than he is gaining from the sit down and socks he had on. BLM looses credibility every time something comes up like in Milwaukee when the sister tells everyone to go to the suburbs and burn it down, she is in sighting violence and just makes the entire group look plain stupid.

with his parents, it said; i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/12/05/article-2243429-165D22AD000005DC-327_634x603.jpgRick and Teresa Kaepernick Maybe they were oppressive and abusive. Ever see a picture of him with his shirt off? His 'color' doesn't run very deep. Never heard of the guy before and could care less about him, but he is a) using his freedom of speech to b) sell more tickets etc. See he got me to know who he is? And he got kazillions of folks talking about him and his team; all publicity stunts.

Yes I understand they were not his biological donors, but do you think with his lighter than many east Europeans complexion and raised from birth in a 'white' household that he had much 'colored' identity before it became profitable?

"..he had much 'colored' identity before it became profitable? " How is he profiting from this? Seems like the opposite to me. He signed a $125 million contract years before this all happened. His biological mother is also white, and bio father was black. Being raised in a white family with two white siblings doesn't mean he didn't feel some prejudice in his life. President Obama was raised in much the same circumstances and people always refer to him as black. Hatred by some knows no bounds.
Cheers, Pam

Racism will never die in this country as long as the government promotes it with "equal" opportunity and asking for your "race" in census and the hundred other things that the government does to promote racial distrust so that it can then provide protection by increased policing. I have no problem with him sitting or his sock selection, I do object to his claiming blackness nor is Obama black. But If they both were black and used that as an excuse for special treatment or preference then they would be Racists. Any one that brings race to the table as part of any discussion is Racist.
It won't matter much though when we get Sharia law and one world government.
He and his company will/are profiting from the very fact that now people know who they are. Tickets and promotions.
None of which defines his intelligence, he may or may not be an idiot, based on his socks or his ability to sit.

no all cops are not bad- but the last person I'd go to for help- would be a cop.
don't trust them a bit.
========== Any one that brings race to the table as part of any discussion is Racist.
one of the more silly (not my first word choice) statement I've ever read.
