I have seen beaver use another dead beaver that was in a trap to plug a hole in a dam.

I've seen coon just plain ignore a DP. dirt hole, slap and go, baited pocket, it could go on and on Nothing is 100 %
I have watched coon go up and down the bank cleaning out my pockets only to come back from #4 and get caught in the #1 pocket.

One situation doesn't make It a regular pattern.
Agreed -- I never said it was a one time deal.

Funny how game cams or videos prove that statement wrong beav
I just caught a coon today in a duke dp I set 3 weeks ago in my back yard the coons were killing chickens and I thought I was done but left one set cuz I been to busy/lazy to pull it. There was NO bait in the trap only liquid lure. Coons got a better nose than most would ever imagine. Its tough to know this with out actually watching live coon or video of them on particular scents or baits.

www.okeeffescompany.com/I tried everything till I got some of this stuff. The gal who invented this stuff dad is a rancher and she is a pharmacist if I recall right. I tried posting this on the IA forum last yr and got laughed at for it. Some folks work harder than others I guess.

Sold mine ONLY becuz they take up more space than a duke and I can carry more in my hand due to weight and space , killed plenty of coon with them.

A base to hold your clamps is all you need with a winch up top for your hooks.

Ok I make lure and catch beaver - that anit hard and I don’t pretend to be a lure maker that being said. I know that dried smells different than fresh . I never seen a beaver dry castor. Its easier for me to just open the sac and mix up. Is drying castor just a convenience thing ??

Calvin, looking at exact same thing, 6.5 surface drive. if serious maybe see about shipping together if it would save money. Ill be at MN convention. I'd like to drive/ride one before I shelled out the money, but doubt Im gonna have that option. Rich there are at least two dealers in IA that do test drives if your interested PM me I will get you the info.

Was enlightened to a "push pole" this fall. Never ever launch a boat in a rat slew without one again.
I drove back home over 25 miles once and got on the water 2 hrs late, just to get my push pole. I wont go with out one.

I dont care for the center hook up on the #4 dukes. It binds too much in my opinion.

I am no cat trapper but I can relate to using # 3s for beaver vs # 5s for weight reasons alone. I cant imagine packin many up a mountain, its bad enough in a boat.
