Î find myself amazed once again at the level of post season play from my REDBIRDS! Kershaw has to think that the cardinals just have him pegged. Looking like an I70 series isn't so far fetched now we are down to 4 teams left.
What is everyone's World Series prediction?
Mine is an all bird series. But the odds of both home teams winning the series not good...........

The Royals have surprised me as I had not watched the American League too close this season. They play national league small ball with speed unlike many AL teams. Orioles look to be tough have been very consistent throughout the season. Cards versus Giants is harder to predict as the Giants have shown some inconsistencies at times and the Cards have struggled on the road. I actually would like to see the Royals play the Cards and have basically a national league type series. To me if the Card's starters really perform well they have a good chance. The Cards were winning in the playoffs with homers which they did not do well during the season. If they stay sharp on hitting that could help them a lot. Just never have been a strong AL fan but there are good teams and players in that league. To me the best part of this season and all season has been watching the tributes to Jeter and remembering his accomplishments.

I think the jeter thing was a bit over done......... great player but the best ever at SS? I would rank ozzie smith above him defensively . 12 time gold glover and his defensive WAR numbers always in the top 3 except for one season.

KC is on a magical run but I feel, once they lose a game then some doubt will creep back into them. I feel either the cards or the giants will give them all they can handle. I understand the excitement after 29 years but they got on a hot streak at the right time. Their problem is lack of run production if a team opens up a decent lead they will then be in some trouble I think today even though they won left 14 guys on base in 8 innings.

Royals, Giants will be a good series if the Giants win tonight. Cardinals are just having too much difficulty staying healthy and sharp. The Giants manager may finally be getting some of the credit he deserves as a good manager and team leader. The one thing the Giants seem to do is play loose when the situations are sticky and that bodes well in post season play. Jost is finally getting a chance to win with his style of ball. The Brewers did not give him the time he may have needed or the players he needed to win with that formula.

Cardinals have played more baseball in the last 8 years of any team and they look tired a 162 games is a grind but then add in all the extra games each fall and at some point it has to wear on those that have been there for 3-4 years. I really thought the dodgers might have had their number but was happy to see them get out of that series I knew the giants would be no easy deal, but with yadi, Wainright not 100 percent and Wacha sitting on the side lines makes it really tough on them for sure. Bull pen has really been worked this series but the giants are always tough come playoff time.
I too think the giants will give the royals all they can handle I live close to KC. And everyone is in a crazy mood which is understandable just do not like the smack. A few of the royals players have been dealing out after a 29 year drought.
This could be only the 2nd time in wild card era where two World Series teams are both wild card teams. So much for home field advantage in baseball.

The Giants left fielder redeemed himself after misplaying the line drive over his head and now we have the Royals and the Giants. Should be a good series but with some smaller TV markets.

Giants are doing very, very well for a team with only 1 starting pitcher with a .500 record. I attribute a lot of that to Bochy and his ability to manage the Giants to play beyond themselves. If the Giants are going to win I feel they need to get early leads and hold on. Lot of strategy going on in being first ball hitting or not etc. Royals can run so keeping their base stealers off base is a key. We will see how much of an advantage the Giants will have with the no DH in the national league parks.

Pretty lopsided win for the Giants last night. Lot of small ball being played by both teams. Good series to date with two wild card teams playing for the championship.

We will see how the starting rotation for the Giants will fare tonight. Best if they could get a nice lead early and then hold on. I

Well,as I figured peavy is not a 1 a or B type pitcher anymore he is a 4 rotation at best. The royals will win this easy and I think game 7 we shall see Baum come in early inning 3 or so for the giants if the royals go up 2 nothing or so in game 7. This series would be over if the giants don't. Loose Cain and he gets into the rotation.
But you play what got you there just peavy and Hudson over the hill as far as solid pitching goes.
If the royals win KC will be crazy for a good long while, they have been selling royals gear like mad everyone around here has blue on every day, the schools have blue day for World Series games, good for the fans of the royals but. Enjoy it if they win as it will be another long haul between series wins or appearances. Shields gone even though over rated as a pitcher, the others will want good money.
next year they need to pay Cain, moose, hosmer, holland,
