A rod a great player? . he was juicing from an early age, the last thing that comes to mind to me for people like him and Big Mac are not great players............ Everyone likes to have home grown or home found young talent but if you let it all go your in a constant rebuilding mode, you never get to see them play in their prime. You have to hang on to key position players and hitters to a degree or you go as many of the teams have gone. TV money makes up for lack of attendance as the twins get 24 million in TV money from MLB that can pay for a good player each year. and people still buy gear to a degree even in bad years but of occurrence better in good years, yet we are talking billionaires here and what does winning mean to them? or what is the bottom line mean to them. There is a balance to be struck and for some owners very hard to find that some teams get it right more years than not others hardly ever get it right.

I'm hoping part of his agreement, was to have far more input on players, free agents
and I see your point Bryce- but it does get old seeing superstars developed, but then they are out of our price range

Yes he juiced but at 18-19 years of age it was good to see how good he was. When he started PEDs I don't know and probably no one knows but then he is not alone either. I hope ML BB can clean itself up so that we don't have to question new stats or * them on the books.
Yes it would be nice to see the days of the Aaron's, Banks, Clemente's etc. that played long careers for a single club but those days are not with us no in any pro sport, not even college or HS in many cases.
