Have the Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies start profiling white males, searching for those individuals deemed likely to be a threat to society.
Given that the perpetrators of mass shootings are overwhelmingly white males.
Perhaps a task force organized under the Dept. of Homeland Security with operations similar to those on the war on terror.

They could use their computer surveillance systems to identify potential subjects by looking for telltale words and phrases on internet discussion forums.

I don't think we need any more gun laws, especially when the ones on the books are being laxly enforced.
But we share in the social responsibility to find solutions to these mass shootings. And our self-interest should tell us we'd better, or more gun control is likely to be forced upon us.

Hey I'll quit being obnoxious now, I agree with you James. Happy to look for solutions, I'm just not sure there are any.
There are 300 million people in this country, statistics tell me that there is going to be a nut every once in a while regardless.
It's just not a perfect world and punishing those that would never think of doing something like this will be a bad thing.
You think mass shooting? Can you say civil war? Push the gun thing too far and that's what you're looking at.

police being shot has been going on for along time, co;s the same. you know what could happen when you accept the job, no different than the military.
they are great people doing great things because of the dangers for which they sign up for in any reguard.
you can legislate evil from the world, never will happen.................
