Trappnman, I agree with you completely !
I guess what I am saying is that I am a tight-a$$, anal retentive type when it comes to being carefull setting and luring so am extra careful.
For me it presents no problem.
Maybe someone else is a bit more laid back.
Matters not to me 'cause as I said 'it works for me'.
Best to you.

I prefer cotton or elkskin gloves when I set traps dry. When trapping season for fur comes around I prefer rubber gloves as the wet weather sets in..Now for using lure urine and bais I use to always use bare hands. Not knowing just what alls in some of these lures and such today and rather not take a chance getting some in nostrils and what not I now use the latex dish gloves to lure, bait etc. They are very thin, form fitting and if I do get a lure on em I just rince em off.I always carry water in my truck plus soap and rince my hands often at the vehicle.Call me Mr Clean ;D I use to skin critters without rubber gloves too but..............

i set with brown jersey gloves and lure bare handed. i go thru about 4 pair a day and keep a sack in the truck full. early season if dry i like leather gloves to work in as they just feel good.
