I have to agree with Steve. I did not see where Dick was wanting to sell snares rather than using them? ? It is indeed funny that alot of modern day snaremen do not know about how that washer on the cable really works! In many situations, it is much faster than using support wires, wammys, and tubes! AND works VERY well! You just have to know how to use it! I consider it a very useful item, and I use that washer on alot of my snares and have for over 30 years. "No- what I see is someone wanting a fair test for his euqiupment- and honesty in language and testing." Thats what i am getting from this discussion. too!

TC37, Before you leave.....
Would you please explain exactly what your training session for this study was comprised of? What you could and could not use for support systems? Who conducted this training session and who your technichian was that recorded the data in the feild?
Your answers to these questions are important in explaining the parameters of this "test".

it does seem that the bmp tests, testers, etc - are a tight knit little group- unwilling to take ANY criticism on the bmp protocals, methods, etc.
Why? whats their vested interest?
It does appear, that the longer the bmps go on, the more shrouded in secrecy they become. In otherwords- a normal gov operation- SNAFU!
TC37- I'm still trying to understand why motivated your original comments about shiney and whammys....
was that the bmp consenous? or only yours.
WHY are the testers/techs so inshrouded in secrecy?
gov studies- public information.

"gov studies- public information."
NOT when it comes to telling or consulting trapping organizations about these test, testers or the results of these tests!
There are still questions on this forum from last year that have not been answered.
Sammarra Trusso has yet to provide the list of information she promised at the FTA convention in New York.

Robert, Sammara left the AFWA about two years ago. Gordon Batcheller is now the Committee Chair. Also - their “In-House Attorney” is Carol Bambery. Sammara is working for the NY state - so does Don Maclaughlan. I guess NY has its share of problems. Sinrud
