I've seen the published material regarding the red fox, eastern/western coyote bmp's. But, where could I get access to the actual scientific study material--design, methods, etc.??

NO that information is kept confidential and the only thing that matters are those devices that passed the threshold of injury to report anything more would rank them and that isn't what it is about. It is finding tool's that can perform well not ranking them in a specific order.

I understand what you're saying tc37. However, I have been taught to be a critical consumer of research, but it's tough to do that and have reasonable assurance in the reliability and validity of the study when you cannot access the information.

you simply cannot be correct in stating that these are top secret.
show me anything thaty states that.
Please don't tell me its to keep them from the antis.
any public funded research- unless deemed miliarry or otherwise top secret- is accessable throguh the freedom of information act.

Tman "top secret" and confidential are 2 different things. In house and available to those that request is different than double knot spy top secret.
SRC I would email Bryant white and ask him for a copy of the info you want and he may just send it to you via email or reg mail, I don't know for sure. I would try and let me know what you find out. I myself would want to know more about capture efficacy rates over damage data on trap types, but give it a shot. I would not expect them to be offering this in printed BMP's and only available upon request at best.
Freedom of information act has many parts to it and yes alot is available and even much in the way of a private business and what they must disclose as request as well. In some states anyone can ask to see your game license and you must comply or you are breaking the law. Requesting and being free in print with all info is 2 different things.

According to my understanding since BMP is government funded their reports are not confidential and are public domaine for public view! Dick Sinrud

No get on the BMP web site and email bryant on there. Again the information must be available but does not need to be in public documents. Just as private business must give out certain information to those that request it, That is different than just publishing it at will.

Trappincoyotes37, Would you argue that PETA or HSUS can be denied trap testing information and animal welfare results from these tests that have been conducted since they were paid for by tax payer dollars?
BTW, Were any trap manufacturers / owners or there family members involved as trappers or technichans with testing ANY of these traps in these tests?
