I'm seeing more dead piles now from the farms that I trap on due to the fact that the rendering companies are not operating. I started trapping around these dead piles but surely not getting the interest from coyotes to work the sets with all the other food available to them. For you guys that trap them a lot , what do you suggest works good to increase my chances. I appreciate any feedback.
Thank you,

They dye pretty easy here and in Kansas. Wade right into them.

I think you are better off going back from the dead piles a degree.
That at the dead piles- why would they show any interest in your lures, when abundance is all around?
I think better back- at the stall ut point- the point where they pause, to look things over becasue I don't think they wade right in. They what to know whose there.
downwind, the high point within visual/scent range...is to me, the place to set.
and damnit, I don't care what they say- I like loud lures and bait!

I stay on the outside edge fringe. Some pile are kind of rank so pile the bait and lure on them. After about 3 checks set two way back to hookem up.
