I just picked up a pristine double long spring #4 Blake and lamb for $10. Does anyone know anything about them? I can't find any info on it. I also got a #3 diamond dls. I'm just wondering if it needs to go on wall next to my 4.5 Newhouse...or in the dirt

Hang on wall, dont use. Those B&L have very strong springs.... good traps. The 44 Blake and Lamb is a great bvr trap also but unless one has alot of them wouldnt use them. Nice find.

Tom Parr the owner of Trapper's Post may know the value and the history of the trap.

I personally don't think it's ever even been in the dirt. It hasn't been dyed or waxed and still grey, no rust

It is a true Blake & Lamb if it was made pre-1967. Victor made them after that. If it has a pan post, it is a B&L. If it has the hump pan holder it is a Victor.

Yea, thats when Victor took over for B&L. Just a Victor with the B&L pans Not quite the trap but they still used the B&L wide "U" springs. A good trap nonetheless.
