driving up to WI convention, was mulling things over concerning stall out areas. A thought occurred to me (actually a couple), that cleared things up in a way-
and that is this-
If we are talking about small attractions, ones visited by the local coyotes only for the most part (nomads of course but still local-
the stall out location, is AT the attraction.
When we are talking about large attractions, ones visited regularly by multiple family groups of coyotes-
the stall out location is NOT at the attraction point, but close by.
a thought that clarified multiple thoughts into one

I've had several people ask me questions concerning the stall out article. And as I was thinking of the best way to put it into something easily understood by newer trappers (and some older ones I suppose), I came up with this-
A coyote's territory is to his range-
as your neighborhood is compared to your city.

I still am having difficulty determining these areas, but I understand what you are saying. I do not have any big carcass or dead piles, so I am going to start experimenting with creating some attraction points where coyotes are at but not concentrating. In Andy weiser's DVD he uses a pretty good example of this.
