Milan, Italy – On the evening of March 2, 2016, nearly 1,000 fashion elites and fur trade VIPs gathered at the Palazzo Serbelloni in Corso Venezia for MiFur’s annual gala fashion show.
Presented by the Associazione Italiana Pellicceria, the show was a tribute to Italian fashion, featuring Autumn-Winter 2016/17 women’s wear collections by Italy’s top fur designers; Gianfranco Ferrè Furs, de Carlis, Diego M, Fabio Gavazzi, Giorgio Magnani Luxury, Grandi Fur, Maurizio Braschi, Pajaro, Rindi and Tosato 1928.
The evening culminated in a grand finale presentation in which each of the gala’s ten designers presented a unique capsule collection of garments and accessories, made exclusively with NAFA Northern Beaver and Raccoon. While Ferrè favored sporty chic styles, Braschi focused on colourful sophistication for the modern traveller, and Fabio Gavazzi counterbalanced by presenting elegant eveningwear to the rapt audience.
“These designers demonstrated why they are some of the best in the world – they all used NAFA wild fur in unique and extra-ordinary ways, showing the diversity and potential of wild fur in today’s marketplace.”
NAFA was thrilled to have taken part in this unique collaboration. The MiFur finale not only showcased the beauty of NAFA wild furs, but also displayed the fine craftsmanship and immense creativity of these iconic designers.
“I could not be more pleased with the outcome,” said Rob Cahill, NAFA’s Senior Vice-President of Marketing. “The designers enjoyed the process and most importantly, it was very well received by the international trade and retail audience.”
