Did about what I expected on my coyotes-
with 3 grades, averaged $28.66- that is tossing out 6 rubbed, poor, etc coyotes that I knew were poor when I put them up- 4 went for $8 each, 2 for $5 each so if you are a purest it would drop my total average a bit. my average last year with everything was just under $30. they said coyotes down 10-20% this year with a tougher grade, and that appears to be at least the case here
high end same as last year, far tougher grade in middle and lower end over last year- I expected no more, and am glad to be out of them at that average.
the few reds I had- $15 for a couple nice colored/furred ones, $10 for the others
badger no real market- I got $10, $15 and $20 for the 3 I sold whole
had a handful of coon- all 2XX and up, nice color- $8 average green- bigger collections not close to that- coon is a tuff, tuff market
------------------------
asked about water- top rat $4- averages with kits and damaged under $3
mink....$2-3 F, $5-7 M beaver- $5-10
Asked about volume coming in- 10% of an average year. Asked if many coyotes- mine were first trapped ones he's got, although shot ones coming in and on carcass-
if fur is as tied to oil as they say- going to be a long time rebounding- oil prices suppose to stay low well into 2017

But if total catch numbers are as low as it seems is happening, prices could go up!

I'm not up on oil, but Fox business news stated "oil prices will stay low through middle of 2017"
musher, I'm kind of thinking the same

Our District had a trap swap and winter meeting. I could only go for an hour due to several other meetings Sunday. The local buyer was there for 2 hours. I only brought rats. I took 40 from the 48 I caught near me the first week of November. River rats with no kits, lower populations but nice size rats. I had 22 I measured at 2xl 14 at xl and 4 l and 1 mediums
I got 195.50 or $4.86 average for the 40 rats Breakdown 13 at $6.50 17 at $5 10 at $2.50
Other rats seemed to average about $4 with many tops at 5. My rats were bigger and being on wood looked nice
I did not check coon prices One guy had 3 reds 1 at $30 (really nice full cherry red) 1 at 18 and one at 12 No body brought in any put up coons. I did see a guy with 4 nice coons in the grease he caught during deer season in some barns.
