So how many hours and traps does your loops average Tman? Looks like some decent sized coyotes anyhow. Are your doubles and triples increasing or staying the same due to changing locations from travel ways to the spot type areas discussed in the past? Across this first loop produce more or less doubles than your others?
Cool pics

It looks like your season is off banging. Congrats.
Season opens tomorrow, here. Sleeping in the bush tomorrow and setting for marten and beaver.
How do you release a badger and what are the odds of recapturing it?

Musher letting badgers go not a big deal Imuse a catch pole, had some ranchers that actually liked them around the prairie dog towns thinking they helped reduce prairie dogs, not in any real degree but honored their wishes.

I like it marty- and I really like that lobo Refresh my memory if you would Marty. Is this the same "LOBO" since it's a Nelson formula OR have you tweaked it?

Marty's stuff is far better without a doubt! ever since JH has taken over fullers business after the first two years those lures have changed a lot. I used to buy 1-11 from Fuller by the pint, bought some early on from JH still the same then it changed big time as have others he formulates.
Haven't bought from him in 7 years or so?
Try Marty's wolfers pac versus J&M and see if you can't tell a difference!

The 1-11 Decoy you mentioned, Lobo, Algonquin, Super Call, and Super Call Bait were each tested twice. 1st testing was in early spring and the 2nd testing was in late August/early September as are my normal testing periods. Sorry to say but NONE of those scents listed made it past my testing!

Fullers 1-11 was a go to lure for me in the spring and summer in SD for many years. Marty's is just as good.

The 1-11 I just made 3 yrs. ago.Never sold it till the Lima convention.I make a Super 21 but neither of the Super Call bait or Super Call.I make the Lobo but with the way Hansen showed me how to handle the glands for the Lobo only.Algonquin is one of my early season fox-coyote lures. Lobo is really catching on it is very different.

Are your doubles and triples increasing or staying the same due to changing locations from travel ways to the spot type areas discussed in the past? Across this first loop produce more or less doubles than your others? I think most of us here have these same questions TC has ! First, lets recap a few things that have been addressed before, much in the archives on this very topic. We know coyotes don`t hold territory in the fall(while many are trapping).Coyotes don`t disperse just for the sake of moving. We know coyotes use what the researchers call"frequency liked areas" throught the year. Some trappers have referred to this as the "spot".What makes the spot has to do with many factors, not just FOOD.Social interaction is an innate behavior in coyotes. All coyotes in all environments behave within the realm of innate behavior. No exceptions !Now,my questions. Are you trapping farm to farm(one farm adjoinging another) or traveling one key area to another? None of what I see lends itself to being"the spot",traveling locations and edges is what I see.Do you think singles is the norm, since it appears your trapping "traveling" coyotes ? Am I missing something here and you think these are "the spot"?,and if so,WHY? Would you mind telling us how far between farms your traveling if your not trapping property edge to property edge?approximate. I think we all would like to improve our location picking and your answers would be appreciated..

in my areas, my definition of "the spot" is
1) an end attraction close by
2) a set location that allows coyotes to work a set- meaning a stall out area
90% of my locations are, IMO, that.
take the bottom picture- what do you see? I see a waterway/ravine, at the bottom of rolling hills, in the middle of 2 big dairy farms, in a spot I know, through gopher trapping it all summer that coyotes stall out in it- I got six here- 2 in that set, 4 behind me- all singletons. not the spot? if not, for sure a cut above your average travelway.
take the pic above the 1.75 pic- and just below is where the coyote on the drag by the chewed up tree- took 5 here this year- 2 in that set, 2 in another right by it, and the 1 in the woods. Oh yes....did I mention the deadpile is 30 feet away? most locations have something similar-
as far as how far- first loop was 111 miles, 16 locations meaning farms
2nd loop 123 miles 13 locations meaning farms plus 7 locations from first loop- something I did with success last year
distance between varies- few adjoining farms
