I don't think those prices overall are all that bad considering the current state of the market. thanks for posting them

I guess that is the reality we will need to learn to accept and it sure is not easy to do so, especially coming off such an almost giddy high ride a couple years ago. I looked over my 3 last sale seasons and I averaged over $12 for my rats for three seasons in a row. That was about 550 rats total for three seasons. My coon average for the 3 years was about $28 on about 250 coons. (all before commissions). Won't be like that this go round for sure.

I think we all got caught up in the hype concerning rats- that a 14-15" piece of fur should be worth the prices it was bringing. I never got too excited becasue I always held the belief that rat prices were inflated- and this past year, averaged right around $5 and I can live with that every year
looking at this sale, and the ercent FHA sale, prices do seem to have bottomed out, and even increasing slightly
and isn't it just a return to the old "either its long hairs, or shorthairs" in whats hot and whats not- and since the short hairs cannot compete with the ranch mink- long hairs are in- just this year got my highest ever total coyote average, and selling reds at $30-35 is not to be sneezed at either-
