www.nafa.ca/16994January 2015 Auction Prompt Day – Friday February 27, 2015 As you may already be aware, the Chinese New Year holiday moves around on the calendar each year and this year falls on February 19 which creates an unusual situation for our January 2015 auction. Normally, NAFA establishes its Prompt Day for each auction 21 days after our last selling day. However, due to the Chinese New Year holiday, many Asian banks will be closed for business between February 19 and February 25. Since the Asian buying community will undoubtedly be the major player in our upcoming auction, NAFA, along with all of our consignor customers selling furs in this sale, must do all that we can to support these buyers. This includes making it possible for them to pay for their goods purchased at the January auction on Prompt Day. For this reason only, the Prompt Day for NAFA’s January auction has now been set as Friday, February 27, 2015. This decision has been made in consultation with our producer associations as well as with the support of our consignor Board of Directors. Any consignors who have concerns or anticipate hardship in relation to the February 27, 2015 Prompt Day are asked to contact their solicitors. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at our auction. www.nafa.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/2015-01-Auction-Prompt-Day-ENG.pdf
