This is my boy Dakota holding a large make river otter. This is our very first Missouri River otter taken from a series of ponds that are full of nice sized catfish! or maybe less than full with this tank eating on them . We found two catfish carcasses on the bank one was 6-7 lbs and the other 3 or so not real old and caught him in a submerged conibear with a dive stick going to a cross over. used some fencing and worked well. neat critters for sure.

Marty your lures are working great, that new one seems like a keeper! The last coyote caught with it was a good sized male but mangy as all get out.

What is the legal bag limit in MO for otter. I can remember about 20-25 years ago WI swapped otter for wild turkeys so we could reintroduce the turkeys back in WI. They have done very, very well and are all over our state now. Your otter population was low and I am curious to see how it is today. We have a very limited lottery type system to get an otter tag which many, many trappers feel is a very poor system and that we don't allow enough harvest of otters here in WI.

Bryce we have no limit on otter or bobcats and last year the bobcat harvest was over 4,000 cats and otters where at 2,584 the higher years where in 2012/2013 when otters brought on avg more money 4,201 otters harvested.
