Since I'm back I'm not wasting any time, lol! I got to thinking about trapping fisher this weekend and what do you guys recommend. Our season runs Oct 18-Dec 31 for fisher. I have limited opportunities to trap for more than weekends but I'm planning on taking a week or two off in November to trap/bowhunt.
Am I better off waiting for November to make my fisher sets or are their pelts primed out by this time of year? I'll more than likely get it mounted so want to get one that looks good.
I'll be in northern WI along the U.P. border if that makes a difference.
Any thoughts?

Here in Ny fisher prime up late. I would suggest setting the last 2 weeks of November on. Fisher are usually prime by then and their is quite a difference in an early caught one(oct.-early November) and those caught after that time.
