Hey guys! It's been a LOOOOOONG time since I've been on here. February 2010 to be exact, according to my last activity!!! My job has bounced me around the past 7 years and I finally landed back home in NE Wisconsin, living in the city until the wife and I move back to the country life hopefully in the future.
What I am most looking forward to this season is getting my butt back out and setting some steel. Work and life has almost completely kept me from doing it over the past 4-5 years. But this year I drew my otter AND fisher tags for the first time in 10 years. I am more than pumped. Already have my cages set up on my leaning poles up north...just waiting for Saturday to roll around and then I can bait and set them. I took off of work for the entire week next week hopefully tagging out my fisher and seeing if I can't catch a few 'coon, 'yotes and foxes along the way!
I've got a lot of catching up to do on here but I will no doubt be picking your brains or cruising through the old archives again to freshen up.
For those of you that might remember me, I'm older (32) and wiser now, not quite the wet behind the ears kid on here back in 2004 asking all sorts of newbie questions, haha!
trappnman is exactly right new guys, don't be afraid to ask and the archives are LOADED with great knowledge and experience. I was TOTALLY new to trapping with no relatives, friends or anything to help. Books and this forum are great tools. I owe these guys alot for the help along the years, not that I am a professional trapper or even a veteran by any means, but from where I started 12 years ago taking my trappers safety course. Hope I can pay that forward as well!
Hopefully you'll be seeing my fisher in a few weeks...
-Keith
