or just catch more coyotes per trap
is it really cheaper, to use less, and catch less?
you don't make money checking footprints- nor having 7% success rates
but yes, it is an expense-
per week its say 6-7 4 oz bottles 2 gals of urine 4 pints bait gophers but those are free
even at retail, thats only $1.50 or so per set- well, add the screen and it would be a few pennies more. Bonus for me is with the supply business, I can get supplies wholesale- so my cost is less than the projected $1.55. but even at that, I'd do the same if paying full retail
does that sound excessive? it doesn't to me as few sets do not take fur

I've got endless supplies of lure/bait with the critters I hunt and trap. I do buy some commercial lure from an old timer from Wisconsin, not to say it's any better/worse than anything else out there, but I buy it from him out of respect more than anything. And I guess Tman sold me some he was peddling at the WI convention that I'm going to try this season. Only other thing I buy is urine, but as soon as Curdog gets set up with urine collection, I should have a good deal of that too relatively cheap.
That said, I load sets with multiple smells....and lots of it. It's a small price to pay for traps full of yotes. I use to skimp, but I have noticed a definite increase in catches using what I do now.
