Missouri Trappers Convention

Took my son up yesterday to the Missouri Trappers convention. Seen a few old faces dakota line was there visited with them boys for awhile and got tok with Marty at Keg creek picked up some good stuff from Marty and took in the fur handling demos my son learned a few things on coyote fur.

Overall a lot of dealers for a smaller convention . Picked up a few nice wood coyote stretchers as well.

Spent a good few hours , today should be busy for the dealers sunny and 83 for a high.

Talked with rally H as well haven't seen him in 6 years or so.

Overall a good time and the boy is pumped up for this fall.........

Lots of DP coon traps on the market now but nothing earth shattering to be seen........

Sounds like a good time for you and your boy. It is refreshing to hear kids still want to get outdoors instead of being glued to a video game or i-phone or some other new fangled techy device. I got 3 little boys (4, 2, and 2 months)....I have taken the 4 year old out on some short mink lines. He loves it and asked when we were going mink trapping the other night...........I laughed as my wife rolled her eyes. She thinks I am brainwashing them........it was inevitable I tell her. It was good to meet you.Kind of slow Friday but Saturday very busy.It was a good time.Wish we had more time to talk coyotes with you.

Yeh Marty I figured Saturday would be busier for sure. We saw my oldest in college on Saturday the bearcats won fairly easy and it was good to see him, his grades are good and seems to be adjusting to college life fairly well.

Far different than when I was in college for sure, the food they offer is amazing what he can choose from.

Good meeting you and glad to pick up some more of your good baits and lures and visiting with you. If you ever want to call feel free Marty. The stuff I got from you should be just the ticket for this years BMP study thanks again
