Yes and I am glad Steve could work us in the schedule. I asked Steve to do the methods he has listed as with our soft coon market I wanted a demo that talks about ways to target higher value or maybe this year even sellable coons. See you in a about 10 days.

Early on coon market sounds rough. Just got my latest report in Trappers world and sounds like could be a very tough year for fur period.

had a great time as always at the WI convention. Good crowds, and crowds in a buying mood. We had the best Friday ever at a WI show, and Sat was good as well. met quite a few from CRU, and always nice to put names with faces. Now its time to get serious about final preparations for the fall season- a little over 4 weeks to go, and despite, or perhaps because of the prices, I'm looking forward to tis year as much or better than any past years.

Thanks Steve for doing the demo on Friday. It is always good to have the attendees thinking while they are learning. Glad to hear that your booth faired well. Maybe the fact your sales were high is an indication that some plan to trap some later season coon and or maybe wait longer etc. The western portion of WI has a lot of habitat similar to yours. The Chippewa, lower Black, Trempeleau, Lacrosse and WI rivers along with the Bib Miss all have habitat similar to yours, bluffs, rock out crops, lots of crop land mixed with good stands of oak and streams that have open water in cold weather. Over my way with our glaciated topography we don't have as much fast water, bluffs or oak. Our rondy coordinator announced at our meeting that we had 0ver 2300 paid not county volunteers, and dealers.
