I do nuisance work and occasionally get a gopher call. I dont generally take on large AG jobs just your residential yard problems. I have in the past got by with #1 jumps and longs. What do you all prefer. I have been looking at the Gophinator I do use his mole traps and like the fact that they are stainless. Thanks

never used those
the choice of traps perplexes me, because there is never a clear winner
some days its the Death clutches that are hot, another its cinches, another its kwik sets, another its pan traps
I suggest buying a half doz or doz of each, and seeing what performs best for you. I found my best results, are to match the trap to the hole-
pan traps for split tunnels death clutches for small shallow single holes (meaning the split is close to surface but I don't want to dig for it) cinches for small deep singular openings kwiksets for larger singular openings.
if I had to recommend 1 type of "killer" trap- it would be cinches, with D.C. second-
used to have great success with kwick sets, but as they get older, less %- but I'm trying to figure out the why of that

I do like the gophinators.. been using the mole traps for years so making the switch to his gopher traps was pretty similar.. get the front bedded in loose soil. only have 6 but I do like them. good catch rate but already have a bunch of cinches my go to trap. I feel you can fine tune the cinches a little more.. make sure you stake the gophinator trap solid so there is no movement as it is a light trap..

I'm still having trouble with the new ones- even after bending the wire
could you perhaps show me a pic of how you bend them? nothing I hate worse than seeing one snapped, but locked by that 2nd wire

If its a smartphone its the same as a computer.
Need to download it to a second party site like photobucket.
If its a regular phone you will need to get them transferred to your computer.

My guess is you just copied the hyperlink to the photo without the IMG link to it. In photobucket if you look next to your picture they will give you a few options to link to. Click on the one that has the IMG next to it an it will automatically make a copy to the IMG link for your computer, than in the reply box of proboards all you have to do is right click and hit paste and it should give you the proper link. Clear as mud aint I?

quit posting pictures of those cats LOL
beautiful, beautiful btw-
but am really curious as to see your setups on cinches.
yesterday I tried straightening the last wire, from where I bent it on the end, and tried a bend at the eye down- will see if that helps

if I didn't want to look like a pimp, and could afford it- all my clothes would be made of bobcat- just seeing those pics makes me want to run my fingers through the fur

Here is my setup.. The first trigger wire needs to be kept to the left as far as you can by that lip.

ok- the first trigger wire I do just that-
but the second, I've been running opposite with the eye facing the back
today with 11 cinches set, had 10 gophers and one that was "locked" half fired
man, that's IS hair trigger- do oyu use the tang by the "H" for anything?
