I'm thinking of building a small cabin on my place, the old RV trailer is cramped, cold, and falling apart. I've got a pretty good idea on size, and have it built in my head so far. This would be for 2 people, for several days to a week at a time,in a cold climate. a small woodstove and simple LP cook top will do, there is no electric or water supply, I would be able to drive up to it. If any of you have any suggestions, tips, etc, I'd appreciate it.

We trailered in 2 sheds until the good road ended, then drug 'em on skids for about a mile, each is 12x16, hooked 'em up side by side, so it became 24x16.

7oaks, I considered the pre made sheds but didn't think the delivery truck would take it on the woods road. What type of skids did you make up and what did you pull them with, truck, tractor?? Thanks

a pick up truck in granny gear, but a tractor would work well too.
skids were 6x6's with the leading ends cut with a long leading taper-we had to put some "rollers" (round fence posts) under it a few times when crossing lil creeks
Maybe just have the delivery truck take it as far as they can and y'all drag it the rest?.?

Have you considered a old steel shipping container...keep the hing door on and build a secondary door behind for when you use it. Cost 1000$ around here
