Been bitter the past 5 days or so. about 60 right now (F). Haven't caught anything since then. Was wondering if anybody brushes snow away from their set or let it age naturally with several inches of snow? Using mainly predug dirtholes. Of course it is deer season here now also and I am not trying to hard due to hunters, but I'm getting little to no interest in my sets.
Although this time of year usually dies for me anyway.

I have always brushed snow away. I think it adds lots of eye appeal to winter sets, keeps some of the wet stuff out, especially if it warms up some. I really ate some crow a few winters ago snow trapping, so I am by no means, any authority on snow trapping. yotes are probably on lots of gut piles from deer hunters. When they (deer and people) are gone, you might get some action. I have done some blind setting and blending of snow on tracked up areas with some results, got to have the right kind of snow for it, and have to try to brush away any sign of you being there, within reason. another reason for the right kind of snow. winter trapping= flying frozen dirt and SAFETY GLASSES.
