After thirty-five days of trapping hard I don't have much of anything to check. Got some skinning to do but I'm ready to trap again. I do have a place to put a cage trap and a good snare setup guess I'll throw them in this afernoon. It is warm inside but I'm afraid I have been drinking too much coffee. Tough to make a wage in this artic weather if things even out like they usually do in weather we should have some warm weather on the way,

Coldest November temps that we have had for quite a few years here. Should be good ice many places already. I got some of what I call bad ice to chop tommorrow. I would think this will pretty much shutdown 90 percent of the trappers in the upper midwest. I suppose it won't be long and the high roller will be making a good wage.

Coldest start to the water trapping that I can remember and Ive been trapping about 50 years. Ice on everything including the spring seeps. Forecast is not good either, expect temps to drop Thursday again. Spent the day chopping out sets and hoping I catch something before they freeze up again tonight.

Sure is nice coffee drinking weather, and booze goes good in the fur shed If you use Crown Royal wiskey it becomes Royal Coffee, learned that in northern Saskatchewan where there is no use for wiskey bottle tops. With the wind chill it was -40 c/f that weekend. Lake Winnipeg opened up with the wind and there was ice fog snow 40 miles away
