I know some guys who use the dogless Montgomeries like the #2 twist link chain. I believe it is because the links do not fit over the pan notch. I bought some and added it to some newer traps thinking it would bed easier...and it does.

But, I am seeing more more tangling around the trap and leg of smaller animals like fox than I do with straight link chain.

Anyone else notice this?

I will share this with the guy wanting to switch to twist chain.
