I just read where earth worms may make up to 30% of the diet of a fox.
any opinions?

If this is true one would think a dirt hole with the dirt from a worm container After a fishing trip would be a good lure! just kidding! Wish we had good numbers on our foxes down here!

Musher, I remember many years ago of one good lure maker using earth worms as a base in one of his fox lures! I cant remember who now or which lure it was! But it was a good lure for both reds and greys!

I disced a half acre spot at my house this past summer and I couldn't figured what the heck those fox were doing out there. I saw a lot of digging, although not real deep and poop all over.

I'm sure all of you guys have been out driving, on a wet night and see worms crawling across the road. Not sure what a fox would do? Guess if it was hungry, they'd be easy pickings.
