I caught the most butt-ugly coyote ever yesterday. I think she stepped on my trap as a suicide mission because all the other coyotes were shunning her. I'm surprised it didn't have little spots all over the hide from being constantly poked with a 10 foot pole. I'd have taken a photo but was worried about the camera breaking. Rubbed back, little balls of wooly hairs through-out the underfur. And it rained just enough to mud-up the dirt it used to make the catch circle. She smelled awful.
Oh well, I caught a big possum in the next trap so at least I got one valuable pelt. Then my first ever double on cottontails so I made some meat.
