I would like to ask, if i may, for you Trapper's who make a lot of waxed dirt, which method do you prefer to use when making you waxed dirt? I have used the cement mixer with a rose bud type of propain heat and double boiler with water, and made it early just by letting the sun melt it in the dirt on a big peace of black plastic and I have always like the sun melt best, but I have never used the heat light method, but it seems to me like that would be the way to go but just thought I would ask some of you guts about it before I tryed this way. Thank you very much for your input on this.

Looks like you have tried most of the methods. Any method to get the dirt hot and dry before adding the wax. I had a guy tell me the other day that he used a dry kiln.

well if it ant my old buddy Ron Marsh, how have you been Ron? long time no see, hey by the way I have some info for you on a good friend and long time costermer that is going to open a Trapping supply in westen MD. and I'm trying to hook him up with all the right poeple and you would be # No 1 in my book Ron, you have been a great Man and inventer in the Trapping industry but anyway old buddy it very good to here from you and hope to see you soon. and I do need to get some things from you like your # No1 in the whole world j-hook, s-hook ect, ect, ect, plires. so I'll chat with you later my very good frined & Brother in JESUS.

tried the weed burner and a mixer ,worked well , had a lb of wax melted in a can for measuring ,got the dirt hot and added the melted wax to it when it started to turn ,5 gal of to 3lb wax ,give or take on organic content,left it running for a while to mix and cool some then dumped and spread out on tarp to finish cooling ,raked it afew times to get it to cool evenly ,also turnedthe burner off once the dirt was hot
Im no expert and had asked the question earlier this summer ,but it worked great and will use this method from now on ,have dirt squirreled away for later this season if needed
