There has been a lot of guys putting trail cameras on sets to test lures and baits, etc. And some, i hate to call it "conclusions" from what they have gathered. Now I wonder how those same animals react to the same lures and baits, when these same animals are put in the "mood" to work those lures and baits. Perhaps a before and after, could tell an individual a lot about the presence of a, lets call it, "mood . I can't speak for how, why, or the findings of others testing scents(lure-bait) but I personally test specificlly for the scent that "puts" the coyote "In The MOOD" regardless of where the encounter occurs! I search for the scent that'll stop the coyote, slap it along side it's head and forces/compels it to come to my set to investigate. From my experiences of testing and trapping there are scents or combinations of scents that will do exactly that without prearranging a set location environment conducive to putting the coyote "in the mood" so it'll work the set!!! If a trapper has to initiate mood-enhancement to a set location environment for his scent to work or to consistently get the coyote's attention, it's my opinion he's using an under-performing scent(s).'
