Deserve more than one trap? Is it heavier foot traffic? Are you one of those "if it's good enough for one it's good enough for two" guys? Does time of year I.E. Fall vs winter (November to February) Become a factor? The animal I have in mind is coyotes. -Matt

how bad you want the coyote. it's all about percentages. the more traps the percentage of trapping him goes up.

when I set primarily travelways vs othe locations- 2 traps were enough, because doubles weren't the rule. and those locations paid off over time- 1 here, then a few days another, etc for a long period.
I've kept to that 2 trap rule past 2 years, with a few exceptions.
I feel that cost me coyotes last year- and will be changing that this year. What will determine number of traps, is amount and type of sign. I had locations where sign was overwhelming as to it being the spot, and I won't make that mistake this year.

In places where there are high chances of theft, I have a tendency to set fewer traps per location. The opposite is true where there is very little human traffic.
