I have been speed-dipping my land traps but want to go back to boiling and dying. Do I have to remove the dip or can I boil with the dip on? Some of the traps dont have much on and some are fully covered.

I'm sure the "correct" answer is to remove al lhte dip, but when I went back to dye and wax, I thoguht no way was I going to clean all them up (some worn, some not so much) so I just boiled them real well, and waxed over the remaining dip.
never had a problem in doing so

I noticed when I went back to waxing my dipped (Blackie's Steek Coat) traps that the dip turned my wax brown. Didn't really matter to me as they are water traps, but it might matter for land traps.

I used the brown wax to make fire logs. It did not matter.
