What is everyone's favorite for disposable stakes and what length cable. I live and trap in the foothills of the Adirondacks. I was looking at Duckbill earth anchors and what everyone uses. Thanks for any suggestions.

they have all got a place on my trap lines. and here where I'm at 12" is a plenty in most places. some of the ground I trap I might have to use 14" to 16" but must of it is 12"

as I said I use them all. but I'll tell you the truth the Heavy Duty Berkshire Disposable Work as well as any I have ever used for the money. but there are a few thinks to keep in mind, first thing you have to have is a driver that fit's perfectly in to the little head on them or you will get a lot of blow by. it will just push that little head off to the side and your Driver will pass right on by the stake. and #No.2 always make your self a pilot hole before you just try to pound it in the ground. and I'll tell you, you really should do that on all of them for better & ez,er penetration. and you won't be Bussting up Driver's & stake's, etc, etc, I just carry a peace of 3/4 re barb with me, and that's the very first thing I do, and it also let's you know whether there is any rock's or not. and how many time have you made your set and have everything already to go, just to find out that you have to move to another trap site because you just can't get anything in the ground. well I'm done with that problem. it's like how many time's do you have to get stung with a Bee before you stop putting you hand in the bee's nest. But hay that's just my way of doing thing's. of coruse you can do what you like. just trying to be helpful. and maybe you have already learned this, but the nest Trapper who Read's this just might lurn a little tip.
