Last weekend was when then characters at the cottage had this happen. A female weasel moved into the wood pile. Chip and Dale eastern chipmunks turned into Lunch and Dinner. She had 3 small young that we're carried in one at a time. I first thought it was shrews she was caring. But they were mobile young.
If I could only learn how to post from this Blachberry.
I took apart the wood-pile looking for a nest for the fleas or larvae. No luck with 2 cords of wood moved. The next pile is5 cords.
Now I have to train the new chipmunks. At least the cherries are ripe
At least I know there will be some weasel this winter.😍

Costly error on my part I guess when I showed my wife how easy it is to train chipmunks. If that wasn't bad enough, she than went on to train squirrels. Of course it's always a big deal for the "big city" grandkids when they visit. Now any paying work I do is for peanuts, literally!!!!!

That is why I have feed some Nanking cherries instead of peanuts. The female weasel was really aggressive to every intruder within 10 feet
If I could have found the litter of a nest then it is a mega of larvae and pupae of fleas
