I'm hoping to chase the $50 bounty in Utah this fall/winter and want to just run snares since it's a 4 day check.
Thoughts or experiences with this system? Seems pretty legit.

I used them very late last winter, when the triggers first came out, and I only caught one with that set-up and unfortunately in an unconventional way. Still I could see that it locked up tighter than without the trigger. The lightning lock was not out yet so I used a filed cam, spring, and the trigger. Blown locks are a huge issue for me so my hopes for the LL is very high. It appears to be very well made and very hard. You really can't appreciate how small the LL is until you have them in your hand. So for the one I caught, the trigger made a big difference, even with a blown filed cam. I have yet to snare one with the LL.

I know, none taken. In all fairness, these locks were not very well known and did not come out till after snaring was pretty much done. But people are finding out about them now. But there should be some opinions about the trigger.

The Ram and the Alberta power snare are two different systems. The Alberta power snare utilizes a spring to further tighten a snare lock. It is triggered.

A filed cam and a stinger spring far cheaper and almost as effective in resulting with a pile of stone dead coyotes...........................
Many states in the US the power snares aren't legal.
