A lot of people put up coyotes for $1, prices are not good.

Here's an interesting example of the difference in this year's sales and what my sales receipts historically show as well. This was the only coyote I sent to this May sale. It was sold for $21. An identically graded coyote I sent to the Febuary sale sold for $31. Not unexpected!

Coon are selling down a bit but not the blood bath all the geniuses were predicting yet anyhow. For a May sale, stronger dollar etc. not too bad.Northern coon of course it will be interesting how the other sections sell.

I watched the sale firsthand. The room was full of buyers, but they all sat on their hands. The grading table was full of guys pouring over the heavy coyotes for days. Before the sale, if a guy didn't know about the quantities, it looked to have the making of a big coyote fight, but everybody knew what the quantities were so they all knew they didn't have to fight.
Really the coyote tables were almost as busy as the cat tables prior to the sales, in regards to guys inspecting.

That is interesting baddog. keep us up to date as the NAFA site went down. I hope it's back up before the rats. I think alot of trappers spent extra time on coyotes this past season and it paid off early. Like you said, plenty of good yotes to go around, no need to fight over them. The coyote market never seems to hold for long.

I'm happy with my coon. ave a little over 20.00 on the ones that sold before the site went down. So far all have sold for me. Coyotes down about half from the feb. sale for me. But the feb. ave was crazy high for me. So this is about right on for our coyotes. Right at a 33.00 ave. My cats ave. 172.00. Historically we don't have a nice cat, so I didn't know what to expect. High of 280.00.
