Looks like coon are done and I mean done.Doesn't look good for the coon market. But then I told you so.
Hope this Isn't a sign of the times on the fur market. But then we all have to realize this Is very late sale for coon. Historically speaking these late sales are all about rats beaver and otter. Cross your fingers on the beaver and rats otter will take care of themselves.

Still waiting for posted prices, but it looks like yotes did not do well. I Agree Beav, as long as water fur stays up, I'm good. Not worried about cats.

Sounds like country buyers have been moving coon all spring. And why FHA started their sale with coon instead of starting the sale out with soething that would have set a more postive tone like rats made little sense. The mink buyers still weren't in town yet either. At least I assume the whole sale is being held in Seattle along with ALC ranch mink sale.

Coon never seem to stay hot for long. But, I think it's funny that "trappers" on that "other" site are so upset about the coon prices. My junk coon sold for $6. I'm just happy they found a home. Still waiting to see what my 4X/5X ABCD sold for. Hammer...........Did you see those WIS/MINN (better lots) sell? I think they ran in the high 30's. Top lot was $41. My overall AVG of ALL coon(from all sales) should shake out to around $24. I'm fine with that.

The people on the other site it would be a stretch to call many of them trappers.A lot of the ones talking about the market tanking probably sell a hundred dollars worth a fur a year. lol I think the market will end up being ok A little weaker but it's May and there is a good amount of fur in the auction houses. It looks like the top lots are being bought back as FHA is holding out for good money. At least in the beaver it appears lesser goods are selling easily.I'm guessing that is what happened with the coyotes too.

I hope they don't sell us down the river. I would rather they hold them then give them away. Anything under a $10.00 average would be a kick In the nuts. How many rats are they offering? Keep us informed.

There looks to be some buybacks in rats. There limits are pretty high and there not dropping much.Which is probably a good thing.

Beav......rats did fine. Not sure about OVERALL yet, but my Kansas rats (Feb. 3X-1X slt dgd/bites) $9.00 (this was my bulk) 3X-LG dgd $7.50 and $12/tops. My Kansas avg. should be about $9.30. Not the best rats......

That sounds encouraging. Now we just have to wait and see what NAFAs sale does.

First time watching an FHA sale, but it seemed to me that there were a large number of muskrat lots with no interest in them from the buyers. And they were not the best of the lots either. I'll be interested to see what % of the rats sold.

There was a fair amounts of rats bought back.I think the market has gotten just a shade weaker on rats. But still pretty good prices for muskrats. Looked like rats that they started at 12,14 dollars sold at two, three dollars less than that.

It sounds like the coon market went WAYYYYY south. Just think of all the coon being offered On NAFAs June sale. I'm told NAFA will hold the line on coon. But I guess we will have to wait and see If that happens. I'm glad I already spent my coon money.
