from what I understand, there has been (not a reason why no NR, just that its on the books) language i nthe law, that currently prohibts NR trapping in Mn.
This bill, the work of a few hard working trappers (not me), will change that alw to aLLOW NR trappingi nMn-
if and when the dnr establishes regualtions, etc allowing it.
so i'm guessing public hearings, etc and etc but I do think, that, even though I read elsewhere that the dnr opposes this (which is kind of a shock, becasue several of the fairly top people told me that the dnr had no side on the matter, wasn't opposed, but wasn't going to pursue it without input from the organsiationsi n MN), they won't put many or any roadblocks in its way.
now- if the orgs would chime in....................

Darn and here I thought I would be able to trap with my hero Steven49er. You quit about the time I get started. In fact I just got the truck loaded and snowmobile ready to roll. By this time on monday I hope to have a couple hundred rat traps out. I suppose you can come now and practice putting my stuff up.  |

On a serious note though anybody reading this that is from MN should call thier representative and senator and let them know your feelings.
Mine will receive letters from ten different people minnimum in the next week.
