odd think about this set- it was set up for a front foot catch- a castor mound between that chunk of concrete and a big rock the beaver dislodged when caught- and trap was tight in opening to "cubby"- so he either had to be coming in over the rocks, sliding down them (most likely in my mind), or backing in

It is an oddity none the less! especially being a heavily blocked in set.

Cool catch,a mink today?they must be thick up there. lol My line will become strictly hobby trapping starting next week.If I lived a little closer to rat sloughs I would keep going but gas is expensive.Hard to believe trapping for the most part here was done at Dec31 a number of years ago.The longer season is nice.Makes the off season a lot shorter.Suppose I will still do some spring beaver. The mink body caught I assume?

Paul, I'm coming down the end of the week.
I'll bring an extra machine for you and the heck with hobby status.
Rats are 9 bucks now. Wont take many to buy some gas.

front foot and back foot- but not body. I usually catch 1 or 2 year in beaver sets and most all are indeed body catches
