I got this beaver today in a snare and when I combed it out to get ready to skin I noticed all the under hair that kept combing out. It also looks to have what looks like dandruff in the spots where a lot of the guard hair is gone. I have noticed beaver looking like this in the spring when I have trapped some for damage control but this is the 2nd of Jan. Any opinions as to what might be the problem? Would it have any value aside from the castors and oil sacs?
