Packer Fan go to Kansas no one was talking about you. LOL Yes Groney has been buying at a pretty levels. But It's the same old skin game a few at abnormal levels $11.00 then It's right back to the $6.00 levels on the majority of the skins. (rats)
And Gappster I don't remember making any comment about how and where you sell. I know what Webkie was paying last spring and It wasn't even close to NAFAs May selling prices. In fact I missed the boat by selling all my rats on the March sale. Could have upped my selling average by $3.00 If I had sold on the May sale. But It's all a crap shoot. This year I have 400 and some rats on the May sale and 500+ rats on the Feb sale. Bound to hit one of them. Well Maybe. It's been maybe 10 or 12 years since I have sold any fur In the country. I wonder why that Is.

OK T man I'm going to get after some coon tomorrow. I did 100 this afternoon and fleshed and boarded 100 rats but didn't have time to work on the length thing.
So what exactly do you want me to do.
Hang a fleshed coon by the nose and measure from the nose to the skirt area. Then board that coon and see what the difference Is between the two measurements. How many do you want me to do? Right now I have 120 fleshed coon on the floor. Don't ask for to large of a sampling LOL

just a few, enough to see how hanging length compares to stretched length.

Beav, Steve can chime in here but I believe he wanted to know how long the hides were hanging prior to fleshing. I would be interested in that difference also. I feel strongly that by taking a pelt in the grease and hanging it on a nail and measuring it the length is considerably shorter than after fleshing.
Now if they want the difference fleshed and just hanging my experience shows that with females you loose quite a bit of length and with males little to none. With the males broad heads and larger shoulders they stretch much longer than females do. That is just my experience and with my very high female catch this year I am seeing that difference a lot this year.
